My mates back in Melbourne have been raving about this new training program called F45. It is an Australian concept which is absolutely huge over there with over 100 studios in the Sydney area alone!

What is F45?
F45 stands for Functional 45 aka functional training for 45 minutes. Each class focuses on a combination of weight and bodyweight moves in different circuits, each designed to push your body to a new level and leave you as a sweaty mess. F45 have a “teamwork” mentality with everyone encouraging each other and supporting each other along the way, with high fives all round at the completion of every class. If that's not motivating, I don't know what is!

The classes all have different names and structures, from the strength based Romans class through to the cardio Athletica class and everything in between. The circuits can be anything from 30 seconds work and 15 second rest through to 55 seconds work and 20 seconds rest, depending on the day. The workout is unique in that the exercises and timers are displayed on screens at the front of the class, with over 1000 exercises in their bank you never do the same workout twice. You're always being challenged in new ways.
